School Counselling Services
Snowford Grange has over ten years experience providing effective, integrated school counselling services to over 50 primary and secondary schools in the Midlands area. Our comprehensive school counselling services can address the various needs of the school community: pupils, members of staff and parents.
HOW IT WORKS
A dedicated counsellor works at a school for an established period of time each week, determined by the school’s requirements. This integration allows the school to use the service flexibly, according to changing needs and priorities. In primary schools we work a minimum of two hours each week, though many schools choose at least one full day. In secondary schools we generally work between one and three days per week.
Our counsellors work to establish strong relationships that enable good communication and effective collaboration with all parties: counsellor, pupils, parents, and school staff, as appropriate. We also liaise with outside agencies when necessary, including Children’s Services and CAMHS.

As well as primarily supporting children with their emotional well-being, integrating the expertise of a trained counsellor into your school’s support network extends the provision you can offer to your school's community. On-site counsellors can support Senior Leadership Teams, teachers and other members of staff improve relationships with parents, and serve as valuable advocates for children.
