Snowford Grange - Our Counsellors

Snowford Grange Counsellors focus on self-development and growth in order to make positive impacts on a person’s well-being.

We are a dedicated team of fully qualified individuals with diverse skills and specialisms who are all full members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). We adopt a principled approach to our practice and work within BACP’s Ethical Framework. We also attend regular supervision with qualified supervisors in accordance with BACP requirements.

All of our therapists are self-employed and covered by appropriate professional indemnity insurance and hold current, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificates.

As a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist I worked therapeutically with young children in a preschool setting and established a private practice working with adults, children and young people. Following the establishment of Snowford Grange Counselling & Psychotherapy with Steve, I started working in several primary schools alongside running my thriving private practice.

I have gained extensive knowledge and expertise working with children and young people and hold additional qualifications in both play therapy and child psychology.  I regularly run therapeutic workshops and short courses for children, offer support sessions for parents and develop and deliver training courses for professionals working with children. I have also undertaken recent training in working therapeutically with families who have fostered or adopted children.

FOUNDING PARTNER: Steve Goodrem MBACP DIP (Warwick)

Following my counselling and psychotherapy training at Warwick University I initially became involved with working within the mental health setting. This work inspired me to want to make a difference at an earlier intervention level, and as a result I founded Snowford Grange Counselling & Psychotherapy, with Helen.

I have vast experience in working alongside schools in supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. In addition, I have a breadth of knowledge and expertise in working with adults, children & young people in private practice and in workplace settings. As a fully qualified clinical supervisor I offer supervision to other counsellors and psychotherapists. I also provide counselling, supervision, training & coaching to staff in schools and other places of work in order to support the high demands and emotional strains placed on people.
