Counselling Training & Workshops

Snowford Grange offers counselling skills and emotional support training workshops and programmes. These short courses are designed for any organisation that works with children and young people. The skills learned and developed during these training sessions are transferable within a wide range of workplace settings.

Feedback from our courses has been excellent and has shown that our training programmes link theory to practice in such a cohesive way that attendees feel confident to implement their learning immediately.

Schools Training

Schools have used our programmes to train teaching assistants, teachers and members of the senior leadership team. The training is comprehensive and can also, on request, be tailored to your school’s needs. The training looks at the theory and practice of working more empathically and effectively with children. Other areas that can be covered include: attachment theory, working with anxiety, anger management, exploring boundaries, and dealing with challenging children and parents. Other areas can be addressed at the request of the organisation.

Duration

1/2 day - 1 day - 2 day courses available

Where and when

Courses are usually run by two trainers and cater for 12 -15 participants. The training can run in your own school or organisation as required. Historically, some schools have joined together in their area/cluster to share costs.

For more information about our training services, please contact us.

The trainers are very highly regarded and course content was appreciated for being child specific with both theory and practical aspects covered.
