Staff Support
Your staff are the foundation of your inclusion offer. If they’re not supported, everything else is harder.
Why it matters.
78% of school staff report that work negatively affects their mental health.
DSLs, pastoral & SEND teams, teaching assistants and leaders carry significant emotional responsibility.
Consistent staff support is associated with improvements in retention, stability and leadership capacity.
Schools that prioritise staff wellbeing are better placed to sustain strong and effective inclusion systems
Reflective Supervision.
(Therapeutically Informed)
A confidential space for staff to step back from complex, emotionally demanding work, think clearly and explore whatever is affecting them, whether that originates at work, at home, or somewhere in between.
Unlike many supervision models that focus primarily on role and casework, our supervision is delivered by qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. That therapeutic grounding allows sessions to move beyond casework and role management, supporting clearer thinking, personal reflection, resilience and wellbeing, while making a significant difference to both day-to-day experience and longevity in role.
For DSLs, safeguarding leads, pastoral and SEND teams, teaching assistants and senior leaders.
Also available to staff in any role carrying significant emotional responsibility.
Delivered individually, half-termly or monthly.
Available online or in person.
Evidence suggests that regular supervision can reduce stress and burnout by 20–30%, while helping staff feel clearer, more supported and better equipped to manage demanding roles.
Mental Health Check-Ins.
A proactive mental health MOT available to every member of staff. Three check-ins per year, delivered termly and online by qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.
Each check-in is a structured, one-to-one conversation focused on maintaining wellbeing, developing practical strategies and identifying helpful interventions. Sessions are strengths-based, solution-focused and scheduled flexibly around school life.
Unlike standard EAP provision, the model is proactive, preventative and embedded within school life. It normalises conversations around mental health, supports earlier intervention and gives schools a clear, predictable framework for staff wellbeing.
Delivered termly, online, by qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.
Accessible to every member of staff.
Strengths-based and solution-focused.
Proactive and preventative rather than crisis-led.
Scheduled flexibly to minimise disruption.
Supports early identification and signposting.
Can be recorded as CPD where appropriate.
Optional anonymised Trust-level thematic reporting available.
Staff Counselling.
Confidential counselling available to all staff, delivered online or in person by counsellors and psychotherapists who understand the realities of school life.
That contextual understanding matters. Staff often engage more openly and feel understood more quickly when speaking to professionals who recognise the emotional and practical pressures of working in schools.
We work to a standard six-session model, with the option to extend where appropriate. Unlike EAP programmes, schools pay only for the support they actually use. Whether a school refers one member of staff or many across the year, there are no wasted funds, unnecessary commitments or hidden costs.
Staff can typically expect to begin sessions within one to two weeks of referral, and often sooner.
Referrals are straightforward and can be made by HR, line managers or school leaders. Sessions remain entirely confidential, with no information shared back to the school without the staff member’s explicit consent.
Delivered by qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.
Available to all staff on an ad hoc basis.
Online or in person, flexible around school life.
Six sessions as standard, with the option to extend.
Schools only pay for the support they use.
